When I placed my order, the item was out of stock, and the next day I got a call saying I might have to wait around 4 weeks. After 2 and a half weeks, I decided to shoot an email to Hot Rox. They replied that the product was back in stock and on its way to me. But when the delivery arrived, I noticed one of the boxes was already opened and not resealed, causing the item to almost fall out and get damaged. I was pretty shocked to find no paperwork, inspection report, or wiring diagram included. Whether it was supposed to be there or not, I’ll never find out. I had previously purchased a Jensen 12-inch 100-watt 8-ohm C12K from Thomann in Germany, which did come with a wiring diagram. It makes me think if the paperwork was taken out on purpose! I got my order about 5 days after emailing them. The two speakers I received were the Jensen Jet Series Black Bird 12-inch 100 Watt 8 Ohms, made in Italy! They replaced two British Celestion 12-inch 16 Ohms 75 Watt Crème Backs from my Marshall 1936 2x12 speaker cabinet. The amp I hooked up to the cabinet is the British-made Victory Super Duchess V140 100 Watt Amplifier Head, which is hand-built and hand-soldered. The closest equivalent would be the American Soldano 100 Watt. Both amps have 4x6L6 valves, providing plenty of headroom, allowing you to crank the volume all the way up, which pairs perfectly with the Jensen speakers, especially on the clean channel! This is one of the best combinations I could have asked for. I know that the Messa Boogie California Tweed uses these Jensen Black Bird Speakers, which deliver that classic 50’s American sound!

The TAD spring reverb pan delivers a lush, three-dimensional, and well-balanced sound in my Hot Rod Deville ML 212. It's a fantastic swap for the original (which was also good but had a defect, that Ruby reverb pan). Plus, the delivery was super fast. I’d definitely do this again! 🎶😎
